Research and Development
DOLFIN, the historic Sicilian confectionery leader in the frozen sector with the brands: Polaretti, Granigel and in the manufacture of chocolate, with a view to constant development and updating of its structure, is seeking a Technologist, who will immediately cover the key position of RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. We would like to meet professionals, aged between 35 and 45 years, graduates in scientific disciplines such as Chemistry, Food Science, etc.., who have completed not less than five years of significant experience in R&D Laboratories for mature and certified Food Companies.
The successful candidate will manage the company's research and development activities for improving and creating new products, with particular attention to the possible uses of existing facilities in collaboration with the Plant Manager for the study of the necessary technological solutions. In-depth experience in managing funding projects aimed at research is also required. The person will coordinate laboratory and plant testing and will be responsible for changes to be made to existing products to adapt to the needs of the market or legal regulations. Precision, leadership and a natural aptitude for teamwork complete the profile of the ideal candidate. Grading and remuneration will take account of previous experience and, of course, will conform to the expectations of the most deserving candidates.
A complete knowledge of current food regulations (HACCP, IFS, etc.) is required in addition to an optimum ability to read and express him/herself in English. The position answers to the Plant Director. The place of employment is Giarre - Riposto (CT) in Eastern Sicily, and applications from Sicilian technicians or those already resident on the island, or those who have decided to return to live and work in the area, will be particularly welcome.
